*Note* The batch we have is extremely limited in number and consists of gen II & III trousers. There are other small differences, but the main one is the Gen II's have external knee pad insertion slots where as Gen III is internal. These will be picked at random
In 2013 the NZDF (New Zealand Defence Force) officially changed from its own native DPM camo to the new 'MCU' (Multi-terrain Camouflage Uniform). An interesting choice that was a variant from the Canadian company Hyperstealth. The cut was entirely modernized compared to the former DPM copying much of the American ACU build. This uniform has since been retired and replaced with NZMTP in 2019.
These trousers come in 2 main flavours - Gen II & Gen III. Much like the Crye style uniform, these trousers utilize many of the same components such as pocket placement & integrated knee pads (knee pads not included). Hook & loop tabs are located on the waist, ankles and back of the knees to allow for a well fitting & contoured uniform. A radical change for the NZ military in form & function as well as a unique camo pattern makes these an incredibly interesting bit of military surplus. Alas, the NZ military has adopted NZMTP following many nations in the pull towards the Multicam family.
These trousers are none the less fascinating & so far hard bit of surplus to obtain in any significant number. Grab yourself a pair today as we have no idea when we will get some next!
