These Northland skis are in excellent condition featuring their original labels with a wonderful patina. It seems that our photography can never seem to capture the luminescence of the years of history and preservation shining through in old skis. A great set for your wall, heck these are so stout you could take them out on the hill...vintage ski fest anyone?
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
